the details are a private issue. and yes, "lawboy" is one of our attorneys who just so happens to be a passionate fan of the band ...

we are bringing back scott coogan .... scott is the same drummer who filled in for moke when he was unable to fulfill his obligations during our tour of the United Kingdom and Europe last summer .... scott is an amazing drummer .... he learned all of moke's parts in 2 days ....

we are absolutely confident in scott's abilities and are very pleased to have him join us on the remaining dates of the tour ..... scott is an amazing drummer with unbelievable skills ....

true, after moke's departure in atlanta, the drummers from e-town concrete and hemlock did 3 songs a piece and we played 6 songs ... not 4 ... we are very appreciative for their help in our time of need .... these players learned what they could in ONE day and played their hearts out on stage .... much respect to them ....

under the same circumstances, most bands might have cancelled the show but we decided to play "by any means necessary".

there is no reason for anyone to worry about anything .... this is a band issue .... we will continue .... this is not a crisis situation .... nothing is forever .... things change ....

once this tour has concluded, we will find a new drummer ... we already have many potential new players contacting our mgmt and we are very excited to see what they can bring to the band ....

we will be back on the road just as we planned .... nothing will change our touring schedule .... we refuse to surrender or fall victim to apathy or absurdity.

Questions for Otep about the upcoming 2002 Winter Armageddon tour.

Do you feel this tour is heading in the direction you had hoped it would? do you think there will be a better response with Otep now headlining?

-- this tour is the beginning of an uprising .... the streets will flow with the blood of the non-believers ....

With all that has gone on in this country in the past year, do you feel musical expressions (concerts) are needed today more then they were 5 years ago?

-- absolutely .... we need people to think, form an opinion, express, and fight for it ....

DO you feel that society in general has influenced the way your music is heard?

-- i'm not sure ... i prefer to think that we are working very hard to have our music heard ... and to focus strictly on our message and creative philosophies ... while trying to remain as unmortal as possible ...

Any comments on Ill Nino dropping off the tour? any dissapointments? I assume the tour will go on w/o a hitch.

I am very upset with the lose of Ill Nino. I have spoken to Roger and Christian and we were all looking forward to this tour. We all became very good friends on Ozzfest and this really sucks that they are not playing. I did hear the E Town Concrete is jumping on the tour, so that should be cool. The tour is still rockin and it looks like we might be co-headlining with 3rd Strike, something like that. I am still looking forward to this tour, we are also very good friends with the guys in 3rd Strike. This tour will crush. We have gotten so much better than we were at Ozzfest and we are looking forward to playing in clubs for the ultimate experience. See you there.

Why was the show in Omaha CXL'd? No one new about it until day of. The venue said it was the bands that canceled with a three day notice. Is this true?

We had nothing to do with the show being cancelled. We found out the venue cancelled the show. Stories always get crossed. Sorry.

Ill Nino and 3rd Strike have both dropped off of Otep's Winter Armageddon tour. Otep will now be headlining. Noise Therapy and E-Town Concrete will support this tour.
